D A Y S I X

Amsterdam biggest surprise yet! Totally did not expect to fall in love with this place- but we all have!! So so so pretty - food isn't great, but so many funny things to look at.
Sex shops. Weed at every corner. Magic mushrooms !! So hilarious + such a culture shock!!
The scenery is amazing, lots of canals with bridges and cobbled paths leading you down little side streets littered with quirky vintage shops.

The first day started with a quick brekky at a really cool bakery near central station.  We then purchased a double ticket for the city sightseer, hop on hop off bus and the Van Gough museum priced at £28. If wanting to do touristy things double up on two attractions for a cheaper price! the deals are everywhere.

In the afternoon visited a 'coffee shop' and transported our goods to Vondel park for lunch..
En route we found a shop we found a really cute set of shops just off Dam Square. Really reccomend Lucies, equiverlant to " beeds and buttons galore" just way cooler. Thousands of beeds and charms with coloured leather string, you can even design and create your own necklace / bracelets!

Take away dinner at a little Thai restaurant up the road from our apartment before wine and a night out. We were amazed at how cool all their bars/ nightlife were.. We hit up sugar factory to listen to deep house local DJs.

All in all a great start to Amsterdam- ticking all boxes!
