D A Y T W O

Jet lag didn't reallllyy take it out of is- but we still got up pretty early and decided to go for a walk to    O T T E L I N G H I in Kensington for a take away Brekky.

Again it was a lot like Cooper and Millers- tucked away in a little side street off Kensington High St with a display window full of sweet treats! Matilda got a little lost, but we all made it home to indulge in croissants and jam, granola parfaits, muffins and giant sugar coated pretzels.

Oxford circus was next where we paid Liberty a visit- we all had to say we felt a little disappointed at their stuff.... Until we decided that London hand't declined -but Melbourne had seriously lifted its game in the retail department.. The architecture didn't go unappreciated however!

Topshop amazed us- a thousand times better than Melbourne with one-off pieces and a far more a versatile price and style range.. Before some lingerie purchases at an old favourite COS..

Lunch at the salad bar of all salad bars... Jess showed us her favourite lunch spot in Oxford Circus from when she did her internship at Vogue Fashion house! It was the same idea as spud bar in Melbourne ... Just at a whole new level... Called VITAL INGREDIENTS just off Regient St. Choose a base from spinach to pasta to quinoa (prices rang accordingly) and go nuts on any topping you could imagine: tuna, chicken, grilled veggies - and supe generous servings of avocado , jalapeños etc.

Finally we paid HARRODS a visit... We had all forgotten how incredible it really was... The food hall full of pre-made and fresh juices, macaroons and other sweet treat and all the stall assistants dressed in white aprons with hats and smiles.. We visit the pets wonderland section which we couldn't help but laugh at.... Elaborate cupcakes with doggy paws iced into them.. Biscuits that looked edible to a human- but all for dogs!! Cashmere dog beds, Burberry dog bowls... We couldn't help but laugh!!

Dinner and DRINKS at POLPO in Soho- was really really fantastic.. Brick walls and low-ceilings, candle-lit and intimate - a really cool dining setting. A reasonably priced menu of tapas and share plates .. We ordered a fennel and almond salad which we all agreed was amazing, chilli and lime prawns to die for and the most amazing linguini mixed with mussels and cherry tomatoes... ginger, lime and mint vodkas , bottles of red and great funny chats made for a great night!!
